One day, I was looking around for a very simple video card overclocking software. I found ATItool. After spending a few minutes playing with the settings, I literally blew up my video card. Heh, I yanked CORE speed to 400 mhz and MEM clock speed to 800 mhz. LOL. You don't want to know how many artifacts showed up on the screen. I couldn't even see the desktop!

So I rebooted and started overclocking again, but in smaller increments. Oliver said to me once, "Always overclock a little at a time." Obviously, I never followed that advice. I successfully acheived CORE speed of 290mhz and MEM clock speed 220mhz from 240/200.

I am going for 290/300!!!

Look at the screenshot below:

I will do a 3DMARK test to compare results. By the way, my video card is an Xtasy ATi Radeon 9250 128MB PCI version.

Update

Uploaded "Bosque" as my first scene of the volumetric lighting project! I have learned a lot from this study and I'll continue. Heck, I already have plans for my next project.

Many people have complained about the absence of a "back" button in my galleries. I have added one.

Feedback!

New Vue Project

YAHBAHDAHBAHDOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
no update for a month...amazing.

Homework prevented me from updating my website with new pictures. I only uploaded one, called "La Mer."

I haven't set a goal for myself yet for Vue, so I will. My first project is called "Volumetric," where I have to explore the behavior of powerful volumetric point lights in Vue. What is volumetric lighting? If you have ever been in a dense forest during dusk, you may can see the sun's rays passing through the the trees, sometimes referred to as "split rays." I am trying to imitate that effect, so expect lots of "jungle" scenes.

I have paused uploading my pictures to Vue Album 2, since this project is active. I will continue after I finish this project.

That's all. "END POST" (quoted from Roscoe)
